Ingredients:
10 big bitter oranges
1 kilo of sugar
Some lemon juice
Water, enough to cover the pieces
Preparation:
Grate the yellow bitter oranges’ skin and peel just like an orange. Take the peeled slices and wrap them up like a snail so they don’t open. Poke them with a toothpick. Once they are ready place them in water and changing it for 3-4 times (for 2 days). Boil the water along with the sugar. Strain the pieces well and squeeze the fluids with your hands. Add them into the syrup add some lemon juice and when cold remove the toothpicks and store in jars.
