Karpathos is the second largest island in the Dodecanese complex, after Rhodes. The island's charms include the landscapes, the villages and the beaches. Basically a mountain range jutting out from the sea, Karpathos offers spectacular views of the Aegean from anywhere on the road that connects Pigadia, the capital, in the south, and Diafani, the secondary harbour, in the north.

In Menetes village it is worth visiting the church of Virgin Mary, the Byzantine churches of St. Mama and St. Antonios as well as the archeological collection of findings of the area. The island features spectacular swimming and diving.
