Melachrino Cake

Melachrino CakeIngredients:
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of eggs
1 cup of walnut (finely ground)

1 cup of bread crumbs
1 glass of cognac
½ teaspoon of cinnamon 1 vanilla
For the syrup:
1 cup of sugar
1 ½ cup of water
Preparation:
Beat the eggs in the mixer and slowly add the sugar. Keep beating and then add the walnuts, the bread crumbs and the vanilla. Empty the mixture in a buttered pan (0,20 x 0,20). Bake for 45 minutes at 180ο C. prepare the syrup by boiling the sugar with water for 5 minutes. When the cake is ready, cut into pieces and pour the hot syrup.
