Record tourist arrivals recorded in July the airport of Rhodes and the nearby island of Kos. Rhodes and Kos seems to be the most popular tourist destinations for this year in the Aegean, as the increase compared to last year, exceeded 30%. The positive lead of the nationwide tourism on Rhodes and Kos would envy many tourist destinations in Greece, counting losses in tourist arrivals. According to official figures for the first half, Rhodes rose 33.25%, attracting 590,927 visitors and Kos 31.07%, attracted 268,393 tourists.
